Pascal's Principle and The H20 Paradox

Hydraulic lift. A small force on a small piston produces a change in pressure that is transmitted by the liquid to the large piston, the force on the large piston is much greater than the original force.

The Hydrostatic Paradox. The water level is the same regardless of the shape of the vessel. The shaded portion of the water is supported by the sides of the container.
