Research the lives and contributions of one an individual who
advanced science in some way
DOCUMENT where you found your information!!!
Prepare a PowerPoint presentation or a report PLUS REFERENCES
[at least one written source and one internet source]
[2 page minimum, typed, double spaced, 1 inch margins, 12 point
type]
that contains information on
- birth/death date and place
- early schooling [if known]
- early work
- important discoveries
- awards
- etc. [later life, other interesting facts]
- and your speculation on how things might be different had
this person not been alive - ever
If you have someone in mind, please check with me BEFORE you
start research!

Did you also check encyclopedias, and the Larousse Biographical
Dictionary; Dictionary of Scientific Biography; and The Biographical
Dictionary of Scientists? In North High's library are links to
two great databases: Discovery Biography and Discovery Multicultural
America. Select which ethnic group you are researching, and enter
"scientist" as a search term. Easy!
