This lab will be conducted at the Biome Project grassland
site. The object is to collect one example of each type of plant located in
the sampling area, press and mount it, identify the genus and species using
a dichotomous key.
In the assigned area of the 100m x100m grid, collect
and preserve one example of each type of plant. Include the root, stem and
leaves. Dig carefully so as not to disturb the sampling area. Label each plant
with its location within the grid.
